At the edge of MAX485 chip is a low power transceiver and slew-rate limited used for RS-485. Operates at a single + 5V power supply and the rated current is 300 uA. The adoption of half-duplex communication to implement the TTL level conversion function for RS-485 level, capable of reaching a maximum transmission speed of 2.5Mbps. MAX485 transceiver draws a supply current of between 120uA and 500uA in unloaded conditions or full throttle when the driver is disabled. The driver is limited to short-circuit current and the driver outputs can be placed in a state of high impedance through the thermal shutdown circuit. The receiver input has a fail-safe function that ensures high logic output if the input is open circuit. In addition, it has strong anti-interference performance.
